An applicant whose
referees were his parents , father using an assumed
name and mother using her maiden name. A check from
public records would not have disclosed this or the
missing employer who had very relevant information.
A candidate provided
a CV which was wonderfully accurate, it passed the pre
employment screen that the agency used from public
data bases. However what it did not disclose was that
the BA had been completed in the university of Mt Eden
, Yes the police check would have revealed this but by
that stage the employee had been employed and had
done considerable damage.
Investment -
Investors sought further information; Verisure’s
investigation indicated that indicated that the company
would become insolvent. They chose not to invest. The
company is now in Liquidation and the Director a Bankrupt.
Franchise /Business
Purchase - Verisure was able to provide the prospective
purchasers with information which their accountants and
lawyers had not been aware of.
Employment Grievance-
Two and a half months after writing his resignation an
employee decided that he wanted money from his previous
employer. Verisure obtained witness statements and
participated in negotiations. The employee went away empty
handed and has not been heard of since.
Employment tribunal.-
The case which had been with the lawyers and was set to go
to tribunal at a cost of at least $10,000 for lawyers fees ,
was cut short when Verisure’s investigation revealed that a
possible Fraud , when the Plaintiffs became aware of our
investigations they withdrew their legal proceedings.
Fraud –
Employee had opened a bank account in her own name and had
embezzled many thousands of Dollars. Verisure advised the
business owner of a course of action which led to the
recovery of the money without any costs to him.
Fraud Employee embezzled money; Verisure negotiated repayment of
the stolen money including costs.
Locating Missing person
Missing relatives have been put in touch with each other.
Resource management issue -
Residents were required to make submissions in a council
hearing, Verisure obtained evidence and prepared the
submissions for presentation.
Fraud
– Employee used the companies invoicing system to cover
their tracks as they took thousands of dollars worth of
goods .Verisure recovered $30,000 worth of property,
prepared the matter and took it to the police, and the
matter is presently before the courts.
Theft of a Motor vehicle
A young man purchased a car form con artists, he was left
without money or car, Police said the matter was civil.
Verisure obtained evidence and on the fourth trip to the
police station, this time accompanied by Verisure the
complaint was taken. The offenders have been sentenced and
the client received his money back.
Tenants Tenant
moved out with landlords property, Property was recovered by
Verisure.
